printers is the quality of paper that you will be using. This is where I say that even for a novice photographer, you really need to invest in some good quality paper. Get some think glossy paper that you can use. You can buy this at just about any office store like an Office Depot or Staples.
Finally printers in general can be sometimes tough to work with. I invite you to play around with your printer to educate yourself as to how the thing works. Breakdowns are common I'm afraid, so make sure that you get your printer from a reputable store and even think about getting yourself an extended warranty if the printer doesn't already have a good standard warranty.
